Does Defendoor have a show room?
We do not have a show room, but we have show stands in our factory that you can come and view. We prefer our consultants to come out to your premises; they have a sample of our doors as well as detailed presentation files.

Are all your doors steel?
Yes, all our doors and components are made from steel. Our doors do not have plastic runners at the top or bottom.
Do your doors have a slam lock?
Yes, we have a slam lock option available
How does slam lock work?
A slam lock allows you to close and lock the door without using a key; however you need a key to unlock the door.
Do you have a fitting service?
Yes, we have internal fitters as well as sub contractors to fit all our doors.
How long from date of order will the doors and roller shutters be installed?
Between 5-7 working days to fit doors and between 7 -10 working days to fit roller shutters.
What Guarantee do you offer on your doors?
We offer a 5 Year Guarantee on our doors.
My door is not a standard size, do they come in any size?
All our doors are customized to fit any opening.
How can I get a quotation?
You can contact us by email, enquiry form on the website or you may also contact us directly by telephone. A consultant will come out to your premises to measure up and give you a free quote.
Can you make a special design?
With certain products we can make a special design.
Can you arrange for someone to assess the property?
Our consultants are trained security assessors, they have specific criteria to work with, and they will also give you guidance and advice. In order to give you a quotation they need to measure the area you want the product fitted to and they need to discuss all the options available to you.
Do I need to have absolutely all my windows and doors secured?
Due to the high levels of extremely violent crime in SA, we recommend that a full assessment of your property be done, and then a course of action be decided by you. Our expert consultants will discuss your options with you and give you a free, no-obligation quotation.
Which provides the best restriction, having your burglar bar on the inside or outside of your window or door?
Having your burglar bars inside is always better. Having it on the inside also allows you not to lose the functionality of your window or door. When a window or door is opened, the alarm is already triggered before the burglar bars or swing gate is tampered with. Steel is also much stronger than aluminum.

No. Security shutters and gates are built to fit your windows and doors. Our consultants and installers are happy to advise on the best system for your requirements and provide a free,

Do you have different colours for your retractable doors and swing gates?
We have 14 colours to choose from.
What is the difference between your product and the other companies in the market?
There are so many differences that one of our consultants have to come and show you the sample door so that you can actually see what makes our product superior to the others. .
